Chairman Liz Turner welcomed members and visitors to our afternoon meeting, she reminded us to obtain our Golden Anniversary tickets for next months luncheon on Thursday 15th at Cranage Hall. Gay Rhodes will be the after-lunch speaker, she comes highly recommended. Liz also mentioned that Myke Caulton, an exciting new Chelford florist, is coming to Plumley Village Hall on Thursday 10th October at 7-30pm. Tickets for both occasions are available for members and visitors from the Club treasurer, Linda Clowes on 01477 532266.
Our renowned demonstrator, on the afternoon, was Arthur MacDonald with an unusual title to his demonstration, “An Object Self Defined”. His mechanics and accessories were innovative and his completed stage was a triumph of colour shape and texture. He illustrated new ideas and reminded us of some of the principles of flower arranging in a highly amusing way.
